Veteran Robert Marcy, of West Wyoming, was awarded a Quilt of Valor at a ceremony Dec. 9 at Fox Hill Country Club, in honor and recognition of his service to our country. Marcy served in the US Army from 1957-1978. During his career, Marcy served at numerous bases in the United States as well as seeing overseas duty in Panama, Germany, South Korea and two tours in Vietnam. He left the Army as a master sergeant. His quilt was pieced by Debbie Stempien, quilted by Maureen Rohr and awarded by Jim and Bonnie Fiedler, members of the Columbia County Quilts of Valor.
