WYOMING AREA SECONDARY CENTER Administration, Dr. Jon Pollard, Mrs. Cathy Ranieli, and Mr. Shaun Rohland, announce the homeroom assignment listing for students in grades 7 through 12 at the Wyoming Area Secondary Center, 252 Memorial Street, Exeter. The Wyoming Area 2021-2022 school year will begin Tuesday, September 7th.

On September 7th, all students, with the exception of the 7th grade students, will report to their assigned homerooms. All 7th grade students will report to the auditorium, which is located on the first floor in the area near the principal’s office. Students in grades 8 thru 12 must be in their homerooms by 7:50 a.m.

Students are assigned to homeroom alphabetically and a listing of homerooms will be posted at the front entrance of the Secondary Center on Monday, August 30th. Listed are the sections, the homeroom number, the teacher assigned to the homeroom and then the beginning of the homeroom (first initial and last name of the first and last student in the homeroom) students whose last names fall in between the first and last name of each designated section will be assigned to that homeroom.

If a student plans on attending the Secondary Center which includes grades 7 through 12, and has not yet registered, please call the registration office at 570-655-2836 ext. 2359.

All students must enter either through the Main Entrance on Memorial Street or through the Gym Entrance in the Secondary Center Parking lot. A reminder that all students entering the building will be subject to security screening, including metal detectors.

Please remember that only single compartment totes, drawstring bags, lunch bags with velcro closures, and purses no larger than 4x6x2 are permitted through the security scans. All other bags will be stored during the school day and will be inaccessible for students until dismissal time.

All beverages brought into the building must be in factory sealed containers, no glass containers are permitted. There are bottle fillers available for students to fill plastic/metal water bottles throughout the school day.

We ask that parents and students be cautious when driving through the Parking Lot so that students can exit vehicles and school buses in a safe manner.

The Gym Entrance will be closed at 7:45 a.m. and students will need to enter through the Front Lobby Entrance after 7:45 a.m. All students must be in their homerooms by 7:50 a.m. Students arriving after 7:50 a.m. will be marked late. Students are dismissed at 2:29 p.m.

Student and Parent Portals will be accessible starting on Thursday, September 2nd. Please be advised that schedule changes will only be made for the Core Academic Courses (English Math Social Studies, Science and Foreign Language). Schedule changes will also be permitted if a course is on your schedule and you have previously earned credit for.

Seniors who are taking part in the Senior Sign In privilege should arrive for the normal start of the day on September 7th so they can get their schedule and participate in the Senior Class meeting. Senior Sign Out will take effect starting on September 8th. Senior Sign In will take effect starting on September 9th. Additional information about Senior Sign In/Out privileges will be discussed with students on the first days of school.

This year the first two student days, September 7th (Periods 1 thru 4) and September 8th (Periods 5 thru 8) are early dismissal days and dismissal time is at 11:02 a.m; both days will be Day 1 of the cycle. There will be breakfast service on these days, but there will not be a lunch served.

Finally, a reminder to students and families that the Wyoming Area Secondary Center has a student dress code in place. All students must arrive each day in dress code compliant attire. Students out of compliance will not be permitted to attend class. A copy of the dress code can be found posted on the Wyoming Area Website under the Parents section.
