Pittston City’s sixth annual St. Patrick’s Parade will be held Saturday, March 2, from South Main Street to Kennedy Boulevard.
The day begins at 9 a.m. with the annual Mass at St. John the Evangelist Church on William Street, Pittston.
The annual Leprechaun Loop 1-mile run will start at 11 a.m. Registration is at 9 a.m. at the Pittston YMCA. Registration fee is $15 and proceeds benefit Pittston’s Care and Concern Ministry and Ryan’s Run and Allied Services.
The parade steps off at noon and will feature more than 100 entries, including pipe and drum bands, local businesses and community groups, emergency vehicles, and new this year, a giant shamrock balloon controlled by 13 handlers.
Roads in the area of the parade will close by 10:30 a.m.
