Friends of the Pittston Memorial Library will host their annual Meet the Artist event at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, in the Cosgrove Room located in the library on Broad Street. Award winning artist Tobi Grossman, specialist in acrylics, pastels, mixed media and oils, will display her work of several decades of landscapes with a theme of “Nature’s Poetic Images.”
Grossman’s work has been shown in many exhibits, including in New York City. She recently completed a 3-by-6-foot mural that is hanging at the entrance of Temple B’nai B’rith in Kingston.
Her love of art has inspired her to assist in the development of several arts organizations. She is affiliated with the Wyoming Valley Art League, serves on the Board of the Pittston Arts Council and held the position of director of the art gallery at Misericordia University in Dallas.
Grossman, a resident of the Greater Pittston area, maintains an art studio in her home.
The public is invited to attend the exhibit at the Pittston Memorial Library free of charge. No reservations are necessary.
Refreshment will be served.
