Pittston Area School District will offer driver education classes. The class will meet at the Pittston Area High School on Stout Street throughout March.
The two-part course is made up of 30 hours of classroom instruction at a cost of $150 and six hours of behind the wheel practice at a cost of $150. Driver education is available to all public and non-public school students who resides in the district.
Students may take the classroom portion even they do not have a permit. For those with a permit, the classroom portion may help them become a safer driver. Attendance at all classes is mandatory. Dates for the classroom sessions are March 5-8, March 12-15, March 19-22 and March 26-28.
