The Martin F. Quinn Primary Center of the Pittston Area School District participates in a Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports Program called STAR. This program promotes and reinforces positive school wide behavior. Students receive “STAR Cards” when exhibiting great behavior choices. These students are recognized at the end of every school day by having their names announced and placing a star on the Star Board in the main hall of the school. Stars are placed on the board until 10 stars align in a row. When 10 stars align, it is time to celebrate by allowing the students to select a prize out of the principal’s treasure chest. Students who recently selected prizes, from left, are Emma Teffers, Rocco Oliveri, Emily Frei, Olivia Lacomis, Autumn Davis, Adrianna Williams, Brently Wall, and Alexis Garrison.
