Phoenix Kids will present “Through the Looking Glass” at 7 p.m. Saturdays, Sept. 14 and 21, and Friday, Sept. 20, and at 2 p.m. Sundays, Sept. 15 and 22, at the Phoenix Performing Arts Center, 409 Main St. Tickets for all shows are $10 for adults and $5 for children 5 years old and younger. The play is an adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s novel, “Through the Looking Glass,” a sequel to “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.” In “Through the Looking Glass,” Alice returns to Wonderland, where she becomes a chess piece in a living chess game with characters who guide her on her rite of passage into adulthood. Well-known characters like Humpty Dumpty, Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee, and the Red Queen make a return in the story.
