Winter is coming. Thanksgiving and Black Friday have come and gone. The big piles of leaves children love to run and jump into are gone. The smell of autumn in the cool crisp air is fading and the first big snow storm of the year has already occurred, which all means Santa will soon be coming to town.
The children of Jenkins and Pittston townships may call Santa Claus at 951-262-3062, to talk to him and tell him their wish list.
Santa will be making visits in Jenkins and Pittston townships, too.
Jenkins Twp. will host a children’s Christmas party from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at the hose company, 2 Second St. The party is free to all children who are invited to come and see Santa Claus, give him their Christmas list and even get a present from jolly old St. Nick.
Pittston Twp.’s board of supervisors and recreation board will host a Christmas party for all of the children of the township from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, at the St. Joseph Marello Parish Center, 237 William St.
There will be games, prizes, refreshments and a visit from Santa Claus. Those attending are reminded to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the local food bank.
