It’s officially ice cream season and, I don’t know about you, but I am thrilled! Nothing says summer is close more than the opening of your favorite, local ice cream shop.

Also, it’s a new month! It’s finally May (sung to the tune of a favorite boy band song).

Did you know that May used to be the third month of the year? It’s true! This is all before January and February were added to the calendar

May is named after Maia, a Greek goddess. She is a Goddess of Fertility, Spring, and growth, which just makes sense this month. May is a time when flowers are in bloom and new life begins to blossom.

Fun facts, right?

So, while you’re enjoying your seasonal ice creams, go into the month with some extra knowledge to share with friends, and check out what’s new in Hughestown.
