At a recent council session, a new ordinance was passed regarding the responsibility of property owners to keep up maintenance of vacant structures and land.
This includes maintaining a clean, safe, secure and sanitary property free of weeds and other vegetative growth. There shall be no marijuana, chicory, succory or blue daisy grown on properties. All structures also must be free of insects, vermin and rodents
A copy of this entire ordinance is available at the borough building if anyone is interested.
Residents complained about water runoff in the borough, especially on Center Street and Rock Street. More to come on addressing the problem.
UGI is interested in installing a new gas line, which will delay the paving of Rock Street. More information to come.
