Happy early Valentine’s Day to you all! It’s the season of love, and holding those you love close.

If you’re going out to dinner this week, there are so many wonderful businesses to choose from and support. You all know I’m a big advocate of supporting locals, and it’s a great way to spread the love.

No matter your favorite restaurant, or person to wine and dine with, I wish you all a beautiful day full of love and joy. In fact — I hope your whole year is filled with that and so much more.

So, wish your honey a Happy Valentine’s Day from me and check out what’s going on in Hughestown:

Council news

Council sends thanks to all those delivering and working throughout these very cold days, including PennDOT, Jerry Lynch, Eddie Richards, hose company members, the mailman and newspaper carrier!

Problems with tires on properties will be discussed at an upcoming council meeting. More information to come.

Police Chief Jim Halford will move to the office upstairs in the borough building. Signs directing visitors to his new office will be placed in the building.
