The Greater Pittston Historical Society will welcome local author Mark Dziak to the Pittston Memorial Library at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29. The program entitled ‘Writing History: Tips and Inspirations from Our Past,” will cover local history topics, such as the Battle of Wyoming and the presence of ancient Native Americans in the Wyoming Valley. In addition, Mark will offer tips

and insights about how to write and publish your own work. Mark is the author of several books including ‘The Battle of Wyoming: For Liberty and Life’ (2008) and ‘Digging Up Wyoming Valley’ (2014). Admission is free. Light refreshments will be served.
