The craft club members of the Falls Active Adult center, sponsored by the Area Agency on Aging for Luzerne/Wyoming counties,gathered to prepare our gifts for the homebound project . All Active Adult Centers in Luzerne/Wyoming counties contribute to this program which the Area Agency on Aging spearheads every year. Falls Active Adult Center, sponsored by the Area Agency on Aging for Luzerne/Wyoming counties, has the following activities through the end of December. The center phone number is 570-388-2623.
Mondays: Nutrition talks at lunch. Women’s coffee club, 10 a.m-noon.
Tuesdays: Brain games at lunch.
Mondays and Wednesdays: Craft Club meets 10 a.m-noon.
Thursdays: Men’s Coffee Club 10-11:45 a.m.
Fridays: Geocaching activity, 9:30 a.m.-noon.
Book Club meets at the center monthly. Upcoming books are: Jan. 2,: ‘Mama Makes Up Her Mind’ by Bailey White; Feb. 3, ‘Twelve Years a Slave’ Solomon Northup; March 2, ‘Where the Crawdads Sing’ Delia Owens, and April 6, ‘Isaac’s Storm’ by Erik Larson.
Anyone wishing to visit for a meal at noon, for a suggested donation of $2 for those 60 and over, should RSVP to Twila by 12:30 p.m. the day before. The center is open 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. It is located on Rt. 92 in Falls, Exeter Twp.
