Wyoming sanitation fee

Wyoming Borough Sanitation Department has mailed the 2018 annual trash fees.

The discount period ended Feb. 15. The fee is now $200 through May 15. Late payments made after May 15 will be $250, no exceptions.

Vacant properties are not exempt from the garbage fee. Rental property owners are reminded the property owner, not the tenant, is responsible for payment of trash fees.

Please mail checks or money orders to: Wyoming  Borough Sanitation, 277 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, PA 18644. No cash payments will be accepted. A payment box is by the entrance of the building.

West Wyoming sanitation fee

West Wyoming Borough has mailed invoices for the 2018 sanitation fee. All residences in West Wyoming must purchase a sticker.

Since the deadline has passed, the cost is now $300 for the year. Citations will be filed with the district magistrate for noncompliance with the ordinance.

Payment of the sanitation bill can be sent to West Wyoming Borough Building, 464 W. Eighth St., West Wyoming, PA 18644. For the added convenience of residents, credit cards are accepted.

Exeter sanitation fee

Exeter Borough announced refuse stickers went on sale in December at the borough building.

Price of the sticker is $180. Seniors 65 and older will pay $130. Stickers must be purchased by March 31 to avoid a penalty.

Stickers can be purchased at the Exeter Borough Town Hall, 1101 Wyoming Ave., from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. You also can send for a sticker by mail by sending a check or money order to Exeter Borough Refuse, 1101 Wyoming Ave., Exeter, PA 18643.

Exeter collection reminders

Exeter Borough is now offering single stream recycling. All recyclable items can now be placed in the same container and can be placed out weekly. Pick up will still be on Mondays.

A flyer is in the white rural mailbox in front of the borough building with a list of what can and cannot be put out. Everything on the calendar is still recyclable with the exception of shredded paper, which will now go out with your regular garbage. Also, items are on the new list that were not picked up before.

Yard waste will still be collected Thursdays. Regular garbage is still collected Wednesdays.

Please do not use the yellow recycling bins for garbage. Place your bags in regular garbage cans. There is a three-bag limit no matter what size the bag is, as long as it is under 30 pounds. Don’t place several small bags in your can. Condense them into a larger bag.

Placing the garbage in a refuse can reduces the likelihood of an animal opening it. If animals do open your garbage, it is the homeowner’s responsibility to clean it up.

Refuse, recyclables and yard waste are to be placed curbside the night before pickup or by 6 a.m. the morning of collection.

For information, call Lynda at 570-654-3001 Ext. 2 or Karen at 570-654-0933.
