With all of the terrible colds and coughs striking people this winter, I think we could all use extra help to stay healthy. If you agree, stop by St. Mary’s Polish National Catholic Church on Sunday, Feb. 3, for the parish’s annual throat blessing.

In honor of the Presentation of our Lord, the Rev. Carmen Bolock will bless candles at the beginning of Holy Mass at 9 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, at St. Mary’s Polish National Catholic Church, 200 Stephenson St. In addition to blessing the candles for Holy Mass, parishioners and friends may also bring candles from home that they use for prayer or on their dining room table.

Following Holy Mass, Father Bolock will bless attendees’ throats in honor of the Feast of St. Blaise.
