Perspective Church, in conjunction with the Pittston Cultural Council, will present a Day of Prayer on Saturday, May 4, at the new amphitheater adjacent to Pittston Memorial Library. This will be the inaugural event at the amphitheater. The public is invited to participate in the program, which begins at 10 a.m. Among the participants will be Pastor Samuel Washington, the Very Rev. Gary Mensinger, the Rev. Joseph Elston, Mayor Michael Lombardo, Congressman Matt Cartwright, state Rep. Mike Carroll, Luzerne County Judge Fred Pierantoni, Luzerne County Councilman Matt Vogue, Dupont AMVETS, Pittston Knights of Columbus and the St. John the Evangelist Family Choir.
