The Pittston Memorial Library is gradually preparing to offer library services again. It will announce plans on individual basis, following the framework for a phased plan of reopening set out by the Office of Commonwealth Libraries. Most libraries in the Luzerne County will not accept physical donations of books or similar items until further notice.

Please check back for information.

The library will host a Facebook live event with Miss Noelle at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 18. During the event, Miss Noelle will teach how to make homemade popsicles. Supplies you will need include small, sturdy paper cups (muffin tin or ice tray work, too), popsicle sticks, tin foil.

The library is also still posting chapter reads on its Facebook page and recipes to spice up your cooking during quarantine.

The library's major fundraisers have been canceled, but you can donate to the library on nepagives.org.

The library will still hold its summer reading program July 6-31. Details will be announced, but registration is already being accepted on the website.
