Even though the weather has been a little inconsistent, it seems pretty clear that spring is trying to take hold and fully push out the chilly winter. Being able to comfortably work and play outside is such a blessing, in my opinion. After all, everything seems better when the sun shines and helps to lift your spirits.

Jenkins Twp and Yatesville Borough Crime Watch will be taking advantage of this spring weather as they host their annual 4-Mile Run/Walk at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 13, at Pittston Area High School.

If you have not registered early, you can still head to the event where they will accept same-day registrations for $30.

Good luck to all participants who are supporting this local organization!
