Each year, as I take down my Christmas decorations, I find myself wishing that I could keep everything up just a little while longer. I feel like my house is an entirely different place without my decorations! I get so used to everything looking its best that it seems empty without the lights, trees and garland that I put out each year. While it’s sad to pack away some of my favorite parts of Christmas, I do so each year with pride having enjoyed the décor the entire season. I’m sure there are many like me who look forward each year to enjoying their decorations and sharing in Christmas cheer.
The Jenkins Twp. Lions Club found a unique way to spread this holiday happiness to residents of Wesley Village. Since COVID-19 restrictions made their normal fundraising and charitable endeavors difficult, they adapted their efforts to share the Christmas spirit. The Lions Club assembled packages filled with Christmas items and décor and gave them to the Activity Department of Wesley Villages. These special gifts were distributed to residents on Christmas Day.
The Lions Club thanks the staff at Wesley Village for their assistance in making this a success.
