Duryea is ushering in the Christmas season in style next weekend.

On Saturday, Dec. 11, the annual Duryea Christmas Stroll will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. with many of the events occurring within the 300 and 400 blocks of Main Street. This event will include a festive, fun night of activities including pictures with Santa, Christmas carols, vendors, food, the tree lighting in front of the borough building, a holiday scavenger hunt and more. Main Street merchants will be open late, too.

In addition to this holiday fun, the Duryea Lions Club will have a bicycle raffle at the event. The Lions will offer children 12 years old and younger from Duryea a chance to win a bicycle. The 14 bicycles that will be awarded are courtesy of the Verdine family in memory of deceased Lions Andy and Scott Verdine, James Gilmartin, Skibitsky & Molino Law Firm, Rehoski’s Market, The Town Tavern, Bronzed Bunz and several members of the Duryea Lions Club. Stop by the Lions’ booth to register.
