As Christmas approaches, Avoca’s sesquicentennial committee is hosting a unique fundraiser to usher in the holiday season with its holiday calendar raffle.

Each day of December, entrants will have a chance to win various prizes including gift cards for local businesses, cash, small appliances, electronics and more. The winner’s entries will be re-entered for future drawings.

Entries are $10 each. The calendars/entry forms can be picked up at the municipal building, 950 Main St., from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday or downloaded from the Avoca Borough’s 150th Anniversary Celebration Facebook page.

Entries and payments are due Monday, Nov. 30. Payment can be via cash, check, Venmo @Colleen-Velehoski and Cash App $ColleenVelehoski.

Live drawings will take place Tuesday, Dec. 1, on Avoca Borough’s 150th Anniversary Celebration Facebook page.
