Happy Mother’s Day to all of the mothers, grandmothers, nanas, godmothers, sisters, aunts, nieces and terrific ladies of Avoca! I hope you all have a wonderful day where you can relax and enjoy the very people who love you for being such a wonderful influence in their lives.
I’d like to wish a very special Happy Mother’s Day to my mom, Lorraine! Thank you Mom for taking such great care of Tom and me as we were growing up and for continuing to care for us every day. You made so many sacrifices for us and still do to this day, and I just want you to know how much we appreciate it and how much we love you! We are very blessed to have you as our mother, and J.J. is extremely blessed to have you as his nana. I love watching you dote on him, making him laugh, and instilling good values in him. No wonder he calls you his favorite person in the world because you are certainly mine!

Avoca Ambulance Association’s 2021 subscription membership drive is underway. Residents of Avoca and Dupont will receive a membership packet in the mail soon. Duryea residents will receive the packet at a later date.
The membership subscription protects the subscriber and his or her family members from out-of-pocket expenses which insurance may not cover in the event of needing emergency services. The membership subscription price remains the same as last year, at $40 per household; $35 for senior citizens. This fee is used for operating expenses and to maintain the viability of the Avoca Ambulance Association.
Avoca Ambulance provides coverage 24 hours a day, seven days a week with paid professional emergency medical providers on duty around the clock. Without the community’s support, this level of service would not be available.
The association members appreciate the community’s support and vow to do their best to serve you in your time of need.
