Senior farmers market vouchers available
Senior farmers market vouchers are available for seniors who have not picked up their vouchers yet this year. The voucher program, developed by the federal and state departments of agriculture, provides each eligible senior with four $6 vouchers, totalling $24, which can only be used to purchase Pennsylvania grown fresh fruits and vegetables from a participating farmers market stand.
Applications will be accepted until Friday, Sept. 24.
Seniors must turn 60 by Dec. 31, 2021; live in Luzerne or Wyoming counties; and meet household total income requirements of $23,828 for one person and $32,227 for two people. Seniors residing in a facility where meals are provided do not qualify.
