Pittston High School, Class of 1957, is cancelling its monthly meetings until further notice.
West Pittston Salvation
Army continuing services
West Pittston Salvation Army has postponed all regular programs, including: Sunday service, men’s ministry, women’s ministry, children’s program, and the regular monthly board meeting.
The office will remain open and the organization will continue concentrating on helping the community during this time. The group will continue to serve those in need, especially those who rely on its feeding program, with the Wednesday feeding program being moved outside, with all meals being to go. Phone calls will be answered during business hours and food and supplies will be delivered to those who can’t get out, especially senior citizens and single parents. St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, Old Forge, has postponed its annual ham bingo planned for March 29. The event will be rescheduled.

Pittston U.M. Church sets ‘Britain’s Best’ trip
United Methodist Church of Pittston will sponsor a bus trip Saturday, May 16, to the American Music Theater in Lancaster to see “Britain’s Best,” a tribute to British artists by the AMT singers, dancers and orchestra. Bus will leave the Pittston Plaza at 11 a.m. Price is $106 and includes bus, show ticket, dinner at Shady Maple, taxes and tips. The show features music by The Beatles, Elton John, Dusty Springfield, The Rolling Stones, Shirley Bassey, Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Adele and more. St. Rocco’s plans
St. Rocco’s Grade School is planning an all-class reunion. Arrangements are in the early stages, but tentative plans are to have it at the Gramercy on Saturday, Nov. 28, the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
St. John’s, Class of ’70,
plans 50th reunion
St. John the Evangelist High School, Class of 1970, will hold its 50th reunion at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, at Fox Hill Country Club. Classmates who would like to attend as the class gathers for the last time as a group should mail a check for $58 per person, made out to St. John’s 50th High School Reunion and mail the payment to Lois Komensky, 307 Mitchell St., Duryea, PA 18642.
