Brianne Smithonic and Jody Andrews were united in marriage in an outdoor ceremony on Saturday, April 27, 2019.
The Barn at Valhalla in Chapel Hill, N.C., provided the rustic setting for the ceremony, which was officiated by the Rev. Kathie McCutcheon.
The bride is the daughter of Ronald and Sandra Smithonic, Leesburg, Fla., formerly of Dupont.
She is the granddaughter of the late John and Margaret Tilley, Dupont, and the late Frank and Louise Smithonic, Dupont.
The groom is the son of Raymond and Patricia Andrews, Williamston, N.C.
He is the grandson of the late Robert and Patricia Bodle and the late Victor and Ruby Andrews, all of North Carolina.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She chose her friends, Jesse Donahue as her maid of honor and Mallory Lacomis as her matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Danielle Burke, Colleen Cook, Kate Gordon, Lisa Houlihan and Lu Olson, all friends of the bride. Flower girls were Lela and Lana Andrews, nieces of the groom.
The groom chose his father, Raymond Andrews and brother, Dan Andrews, as best men. Groomsmen were Josh Andrews, son of the groom; Brooks Bundy, Mike Gaillard, John Ross and Cliff McGuffin, friends of the groom.
An evening cocktail hour and wedding reception were held immediately following the ceremony.
The bride was feted at a shower hosted by her mother at Amadeo’s restaurant, Moosic.
A rehearsal dinner and gathering for out of town guests was held Friday evening at The Lodge.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of Pittston Area High School and received her undergraduate degree in biology from Penn State University. She also received her doctorate degree in veterinary medicine from Ross University and is employed by Tenth Street Animal Hospital as a veterinarian.
The groom is a 1998 graduate of Williamston High School and received his degree in forestry from North Carolina State University. He is a registered forester in North Carolina and is self-employed as owner of Andrews Forestry Services.
Following a honeymoon in Belize, the couple resides in Greenville, N.C.
