Thanks from the Hibernians
I received the following note from the Avoca Ancient Order of Hibernians:
“The Avoca A.O.H. would like to thank everyone who participated in the annual Thomas P. Durkin Memorial Golf Tournament. Because of the support of our sponsors and golfers, most of whom participate every year, we can award scholarships to local high school graduates and support local charitable causes and families throughout the year.
This year’s championship flight winners were James Timlin and Chris Cullen. We would also like to recognize the Durkin and Swartz families, and Jackie Borthwick-Galvin for the great coverage in our local newspapers.
The A.O.H. is always seeking new members for our organization. The mailing address is Box 5045 Avoca, PA 18641.”
