Madalynn Matosky and Matthew Kolodziej were united in the sacrament of marriage Saturday, June 1, 2019, at St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church, Pittston, by the Very Rev. Gary J. Mensinger.
The bride is the daughter of John and Mary Ann Matosky, of Wyoming. She is the granddaughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Chupka, of Port Griffith, and John and Julia Matosky, of Wyoming.
The groom is the son of Tom and Marsha Kolodziej, of Coventry, Conn.
Josephine Matosky, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Julie Matosky and Mary Jo Matosky, sisters of the bride, and Jessica Morris, longtime friend of the bride.
Abigail Matosky, niece of bride, and Ellanor Harris, niece of groom, were the flower girls. John Dennis Matosky, nephew of bride, and William Harris, nephew of groom, were the ring bearers.
Colin Whitehead served as best man. Ushers were Daniel Armellino, Brenden Morgan and Andrew Miller, all friends of the groom.
A reception was held at Sand Springs Country Club, Drums.
The bride is a graduate of King's College, where she earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education. She is working on a master's degree in special education at the University of St. Joseph, West Hartford, Conn.
The groom is a graduate of the University of Connecticut, where he earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics. He is a table games supervisor at MGM Springfield, Springfield Mass.
The couple met seven years ago, prior to getting married. They reside in the groom's hometown of Coventry, Conn.
