Amber Shaffer and Joseph Weidlich were united in marriage on Sept. 19, 2020, at St. Joseph Marello Parish, Pittston. The Rev. Joseph Elston officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of James and Renae Shaffer, Pittston Twp. The groom is the son of Kimberly Groom and Joseph Weidlich, Pittston.
The bride chose her cousin and best friend, Claudia Molnar, as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Olivia Molnar, Lauren Benjamin, Lauren Germano, Alyssa Germano and Amanda Haduck. Flower girl was Rhinada Weidlich, cousin of the groom.
Best man was Stephen Haduck, best friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Ryan Weidlich, brother of the groom; Jonathan Weidlich, brother of the groom; Thomas Groom, Matthew Dougherty, Christopher Preznuk and Peter Beczek. Ringer bearer was Nicholas Weidlich, cousin of the groom.
A reception was held at The Mary Stegmaier Mansion, Wilkes-Barre.
The groom grew up in Pittston and is a 2005 graduate of Pittston Area High School and a 2008 graduate of Walnut Hill Culinary School.
He is currently working as an arborist.
The bride grew up in Browntown, and is a 2011 graduate of Pittston Area High School, and a 2013 graduate of the Wilkes-Barre CTC nursing program.
She is a nursing supervisor at Wesley Village Anderson Personal Care and Myers Manor.
The couple honeymooned in Nashville, Tenn. and reside in Dupont with their two cats, Tina and Ringo.
